Product character
Malachite Green (Basic Green 4) is green with sparkling crystals. Soluble in water, very soluble in ethanol, all in blue-green color. The dye is yellow in concentrated sulfuric acid, and turns dark orange after dilution; orange in concentrated nitric acid, and orange-brown after dilution in Chemicalbook; adding sodium hydroxide to its aqueous solution produces a white precipitate with green light. Dyeing at high temperature (120°C), the shade will not change. Dyeing fastness to light on acrylic fiber grade 4-5.
